The Society for Applied Microbiology welcomed Professor Koen Venema as the Journal of Applied Microbiology (JAM) lecturer at our Annual Conference in Gateshead in July.
Venema’s work focusses on beneficial microbes and how best to harness their potential. He’s an expert in using the dynamic, computer-controlled in vitro models of the gastro-intestinal tract (developed by TNO, and nick-named TIM).
